General information, not professional advice
Everything on Travel Woom is general travel information written to help you plan. It is not legal, immigration, medical, financial or safety advice, and it doesn’t create any professional relationship between you and us.
Things change
We check our facts when we publish and when we refresh a story, but travel details move quickly. Prices, schedules, opening hours, park permits, festival dates, entry requirements and local rules can change at any time, sometimes from one season to the next.
Seasons are patterns, not promises
When we say a month is a good time to visit, we mean what usually happens: typical weather, crowds and prices based on past years. A given week can be warmer, wetter, busier or more expensive than usual.
What to check before you book
- Opening hours, fees and reservations on the official website of the place, park or attraction.
- Flight, train and ferry schedules with the operator.
- Passport, visa and entry requirements, and travel advisories, at travel.state.gov.
- Health recommendations for your destination at CDC Travelers’ Health.
- Current alerts and closures for U.S. national parks at nps.gov.
- The terms of any booking and travel insurance you buy.
Outdoors and safety
Weather, trail and road conditions can be dangerous, especially in winter and in remote areas. Follow the guidance of local authorities and park rangers, and change your plans when conditions call for it.
Links to other websites
We link to official sources and other sites so you can check details yourself. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, prices or services.
